Play Caravan
Rwanda builds a world of play
We toured 5 districts across Rwanda with our play caravan, aiming to activate play, redefine play, and promote learning through play as an integral part of children’s development. We hosted events in Kigali, Bugesera, Rubavu, Musanze and Nyanza across June and July 2022. The events equipped parents and caregivers with the information and tools needed to create more play moments with their children.
Impact
The series of 5 Kina Rwanda Tour events was met with excitement and gathered crowds in all the provinces totaling to 7013 people, 4335 children, and 2678 adults.
Impact
The Play Caravan was a collaborative effort between 14 partners in the learning through play ecosystem, including development, public and private sector organisations, and was supported by local government at district levels pledging to continue promoting learning through play. The partners leveraged each other’s expertise to curate playful experiences based on scientific evidence about children’s development.
